The Butterfli Effect
In 2023, The Butterfli Effect NFP partnered with the Mayor of Calumet City to launch transformative programming for girls across the South Suburbs. We remain the only organization in the Chicagoland area dedicated to empowering girls ages 6–18 through our six core elements—Team Building, Leadership, Financial Literacy, Feminine Health, Etiquette, and Career/College Planning.
Our model blends culturally relevant, project-based learning with intentional one-on-one and group mentorship, guiding girls from their first day in our program through high school graduation. We connect participants with women leaders who inspire, challenge, and support them, while equipping them with the skills, confidence, and resilience to thrive in academics, careers, and life.
Our commitment goes beyond the classroom. We ensure each girl is surrounded by a community that sees her potential, celebrates her identity, and invests in her growth. The result is not just personal success—it’s the creation of leaders who uplift their peers, families, and neighborhoods for years to come.
